From One Business Owner to Another

If you run an electrical contracting business – whether it’s a two-person residential crew or a commercial outfit of 20 – you know that electrical emergencies are fast, severe, and often fatal.

You also know that most generic first aid courses don’t prepare your team for what they’d actually face on a job site.

That’s why I deliver a combination of HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid) and UETDRMP018 (Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage Panel) – trained together, with the right props and scenarios for electrical workers. Your team learns how to safely rescue a colleague from a live LV panel before performing CPR.

They learn the specific sequence of actions that applies when current may still be present. That’s not a generic training room exercise. That’s the real thing.

I work with electrical contractors of all sizes across South East Queensland – and I understand the practical realities of getting a crew trained without losing half a day of billable time. Sessions are structured to be efficient, hands-on, and immediately applicable to your team’s work environment.

As a business owner – your licence, your liability, and your team’s lives depend on this being done properly.

— Luella Stanley, Managing Director & Principal Trainer

Recommended Courses

Specialist training for electrical workers covering safe rescue from a live LV panel, emergency response procedures for electrical contact, and the sequence of actions that applies when current may be present. This is the course that principal contractors and project managers require documented on commercial and industrial sites.

Recommended for: all electricians, apprentices, and workers who access live or potentially live LV equipment.

Comprehensive first aid training covering burns, electrical injuries, trauma, and a wide range of on-site emergencies. Delivered in combination with UETDRMP018 to create a complete electrical worksite emergency response capability.

Recommended for: all site workers.

Annual CPR renewal training. Following an electrical contact, prompt CPR is often the single most critical intervention. Every member of your team should be able to start CPR immediately – not just the designated first aider.

Recommended for: all staff annually.

You’re Not Just Ticking a Box. You’re Protecting What You’ve Built.

Your crew
Every worker on your sites understands how to respond to an electrical emergency – including safe rescue from a live LV panel before administering first aid. They train with the right props and scenarios, not a generic office-based course.

Your subbies and site partners

On multi-trade commercial sites, your team’s training reflects on the whole job. Documented UETDRMP018 and first aid certification satisfies principal contractor requirements and reduces liability across the site.

Your business
Documented, nationally recognised training supports your WHS obligations under the Electrical Safety Act (Qld), demonstrates due diligence in the event of a workplace incident, and protects your licence to operate.

Your license and reputation
In the electrical trade, a serious workplace incident without documented safety procedures can end your contracting licence. Training is the evidence that you take safety seriously – before it matters.

Picture This

It’s 7:15 AM on a commercial fit out. One of your team is working on a switchboard. There’s contact with a live LV panel. He’s on the floor. Not responding. The current may still be present.

The site is 25 minutes from the nearest hospital.

What does the rest of your crew do? Who takes command? Who knows how to safely remove him from the source – without becoming a second victim? Who starts CPR, and when?

Low voltage electrical contact is survivable. But only if your team knows exactly what to do in the first three minutes.

Getting Your Team Trained Is Simpler Than You Think

Ready to get your crew certified?

Compliance note: Queensland’s Electrical Safety Act 2002 and the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 impose a duty on electrical employers to manage electrical risks in the workplace, including the provision of appropriate emergency response capability. Principal contractors on commercial and industrial sites increasingly require documented UETDRMP018 certification as a condition of site access. HLTAID011 certificates are valid for three years; CPR must be renewed annually.
