Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
HLTAID012
The nationally accredited qualification specifically designed for early childhood educators and care workers. Covers paediatric first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma management, choking, CPR for infants and children, and managing emergencies in a care setting. Satisfies ACECQA’s minimum first aid requirements.
Recommended for: designated first aiders, room leaders, and centre directors.
Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
HLTAID009
Annual CPR renewal training. Recommended for all educators – not just your designated first aider. Ensures every member of your team can respond immediately before the first aider arrives.
Recommended for: all staff annually.
PProvide First Aid
HLTAID011
Comprehensive first aid training covering a wide range of adult and paediatric emergencies. Suitable for additional staff members seeking a broader qualification alongside your designated HLTAID012 first aider.

Compliance note: Under the QLD Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, services are required to maintain at least one qualified first aider on the premises at all times during operating hours. HLTAID012 is the nationally recognised qualification that satisfies this requirement. First aid certificates must be renewed every three years; CPR must be renewed annually.
